Duula Child Support Foundation Brings Clean Water to for a community called Kpanvo in Northern region tamale, Ghana

Location: Kpanvo Tamale, Ghana.

In a bid to address the pressing issue of water scarcity in the Kpanvo community, Duula Child Support Foundation has successfully constructed a borehole to provide clean water to the residents.

The Tamale community, like many others in Ghana, has struggled with access to clean water for years. The lack of potable water has led to various health issues, including water-borne diseases, and has hindered the community’s overall development.

Duula Child Support Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children and communities, identified the need for clean water in Kpanvo and took action.

The borehole construction project began in June 2024 and was completed in August 2024. The foundation worked closely with local authorities, engineers, and contractors to ensure the project’s success.

The borehole is 150 meters deep and has a capacity to supply clean water to over 500 residents. The water is treated and purified to meet international standards, ensuring it is safe for consumption.

The borehole has brought immense relief to the Tamale community, particularly children, who no longer have to walk long distances to fetch water from unsafe sources.

“Access to clean water has improved our health and hygiene,” said Aisha, a resident of Kpanvo “We are grateful to Duula Child Support Foundation for this life-changing project.”

Duula Child Support Foundation has implemented measures to ensure the sustainability of the project. A water management committee has been established to oversee the maintenance and operation of the borehole.

The construction of the borehole in kpanvo is a testament to Duula Child Support Foundation’s commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable communities. We believe that access to clean water is a fundamental human right, and we will continue to work towards ensuring that all communities have this basic necessity.
